Obviously the most important skill one needs when they are hosting a show is being confident. If one is not confident there is absolutely no chance that you will ever get listeners glued to your shows.
When being on air, don't forget that you are hosting a show for people who might be LOTS smarter than you. So being confident doesn't in anyway mean that you will be going beyond the line of respect by dissing them in any way. Stay modest yet confident.
Talk about things you KNOW about. Something that you know about is lots easier to discuss on air with on air callers or listeners that are tuned in.
Confidence comes from within, develop your own style and when you have it will be LOTS easier to be yourself.. being someone else is always hard
